Our training boat, Gwendolin May, was delighted to return by invitation to the 2026 Crick Boat Show. With glorious sunshine and near-perfect conditions throughout the weekend, everyone who joined us for a trip on the cut experienced narrowboating at its very best.
Admittedly, it was a little warm at times, but when temperatures rise, there are few better places to be than out on the water enjoying the gentle pace of canal life.
The show once again proved to be a fantastic event. Judging by the number of course bookings taken on our stand, enthusiasm for learning the skills of narrowboating remains as strong as ever. From complete beginners looking to gain confidence at the helm to experienced boaters keen to develop their knowledge further, there was plenty of interest in all aspects of our training programme.
We’d like to thank everyone who visited us over the weekend, and we look forward to welcoming many of you aboard Gwendolin May in the months ahead.
